Cork","description":"\u003cp\u003eGetting above the Fastnet means a helicopter, and the Atlantic doesn't exactly cooperate with scheduling. The day we flew out, the wind was relentless, the swell heavy, and I spent most of the time shooting straight down into the ocean twelve miles off the West Cork coast.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis wave caught me off guard. In all that dark water, the break split open to reveal this extraordinary turquoise-green, the thinnest part of the wave lit up where the light could get through. The spray was being dragged sideways by the wind, whitecaps scattered everywhere across the surface.
