Atlantic Light was my second book, and the first I made as a project from the start. It follows the Wild Atlantic Way from the Old Head of Kinsale in Cork to Inishtrahull off the coast of Donegal, entirely from the air, in about sixty photographs. Most were made with a camera-carrying drone between September 2014 and May 2015, which meant flying it out over the Atlantic in winter weather. The rest come from helicopter flights with the Commissioners of Irish Lights to the offshore lighthouses, and from flights I chartered myself. Each photograph faces a page about the place, its history and how the picture was made, with a map showing where it is. A 128-page hardback, 300 x 246mm, first published in 2015.
